The protection around it is designed to protect the cage filter from impact. Cassette panel filters are filters of class G2 (EU2) - G3 (EU3) - G4 (EU4) - F5 (EU5). Cassette filters used in the air handling unit are produced cellulosic based and fiber glass based.
